Creative Project Idea: Writing Prompt

Haven’t you heard? We all have a story to tell. Or at least that’s what we are told. Often though it is the first few words that are the hardest. Nothing like a blank page or empty computer screen to leave your mind completely blank.

So why not kick of some creative writing with a writing prompt. People uses prompts as a way to get started, to frame a subject, or simply look at things from an angle they might not have considered before.

One of my favourites is “Today I noticed…”

Simple as that – your first three words are written, now go and see what follows. Try it a few times on different days. Who knows what you will find out. It can be truthful or completely made up. That’s the whole point when it comes to creativity you are in the driving seat so just go!
